Adult Day program staff. Day Program Staff work closely with individuals with disabilities. By providing program-approved activities that promote community inclusion. The program encourage persons receiving services with disabilities to become vital parts of society. It also, encourage individual to make decisions as to whatactivities they want to participate in and open the doors to explore different activities. We help to advocate for individual choice-making and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their own life experiences. Promote healthy interactions in the community with community members
Duties/Responsibilities • Ensure that Individuals get out into the community by taking them to activities of their choice and helping the client obtain their goals • Work side-by-side with clients • Follow the approved calendar of appropriate community activities • Responsible for 1 to 4 individuals during the program • Adhere to safety requirements for clients • Maintain accountability of every individual that’s in your care • Advocate for clients’ needs • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent organizational and problem-solving ability • Ability to adhere to regulations and standards • Keep records and documentation and prepare appropriate reports • Team player Minimum Provider Qualifications • Must have a High School Diploma or GED • Must be 21 years or older • Experience preferred working with individuals with disabilities or willingness to be trained. • Must be able to pass a background check • Must be able to pass a drug test • Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
