As the butcher, you will work with a team to provide the finest steaks, roasts, chops and other items for our retail display counter and our restaurant.

Job Duties: ~ Ability to work a flexible schedule ~ Maintain proper inventory for restaurant and retail display case, take and record temperature of case and freezer doors ~ Ensure meat quality ~ Cut, trim, shape, bone, tie, grind, and package meats, such as beef, veal, lamb, and poultry for display counter ~ Team-oriented mindset as we are a small store; good organization and communication skills are a must ~ Follow sanitation standards while working and when cleaning equipment, countertops, and working areas in order to prevent contamination

Requirements: ~ Customer Service: Those who work in retail stores should be courteous, be able to answer customers’ questions, and fill orders to the customers’ satisfaction ~ Manual Dexterity: Butchers use sharp knives and meat cutting equipment such as grinders and saws as part of their duties ~ Physical stamina & strength: Butchers spend hours on their feet while cutting, packaging, or storing meat. Butchers should be strong enough to lift and carry heavy boxes of meat, which often weigh 50+ pounds. ~ 3+ years of experience in a butchery setting with knife/saw/grinder skills across multiple species (beef, veal, lamb, and poultry)
