Denver – The Mile High City’s first winter storm of the season is about to be history, with snow starting to taper off. Denver’s big plow drivers will remain on duty today and tonight to address the city’s main streets, plowing and dropping deicer as needed.

With bits of sunshine possible and in the forecast for this afternoon, roadway conditions are expected to rebound. Still, drivers getting out and about today are encouraged to go slowly, especially approaching intersections. With temps in the low 20’s, slick spots are possible.

Today, Denver’s plow drivers will continue paying particular attention to bridges and overpasses and are addressing the streets and walkways around Empower Field at Mile High, in anticipation of people travelling to today’s Denver Broncos game.

Denver will have 45 to 50 plow drivers on duty today, available to respond as needed, and will have a crew on duty overnight tonight into Monday morning to monitor conditions and address trouble spots as needed. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for sunshine and temps reaching 40 degrees.
