Well here’s your chance! A local Underground Utility Contractor called Communication Construction and Engineering is hiring new Dig Crew Technician for our Denver, CO location.

A Dig Crew Technician works with other members of our Dig Crews to excavate trenches using equipment or manual labor to place electrical and fiber optic conduits, handholes, pedestals, etc.

As a Technician you will be responsible for: -Operation of a Mini-Excavator including use of a bucket, tamper, and auger -Operation of a Skid Steer with a bucket, auger, and breaker bar -Running ride on trencher to create trenches -Hydro-excavation using vac trailers -Hand digging excavation in areas equipment cannot access -Placing conduit in trenches and rising up per designs -Understanding of utility construction regulations and requirements -Reading survey stakes and survey marks -Reading and translating plan sets into production -Ensuring minimum production levels of yourself -Holding other members of your crew accountable for their production and quality -Working with Project Managers to determine daily projects -Completing Daily Logs and and maintaining job folder -Maintaining Jobsite Safety along with safety of crew and public -Doing vehicle inventory, including maintenance and cleanliness

As a Technician you must: -know how to use basic hand tools like hammers, shovels, tape measures, levels, etc -be able to drive trucks with trailers, including manual transmissions -maintain an active drivers license with no duis and limited violations in the past 5 years -able to obtain a Class A CDL at company expense, existing Class A CDL drivers will be paid accordingly -be able to work in Denver metro area Monday-Friday 7 am to 7 pm -not have a need for sponsorship to work -be drug free including marijuana -be able to speak english clearly and be able to talk clearly -be presentable as you represent the company

As a Technician you should be: -Punctual -Aware of surroundings -Hard working -Willing to get dirty -Adaptable -Forward Thinking -Motivator -Good Communicator -Team Player

Our hours are 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday though working until 7 pm is not uncommon. We typically do not work weekends or nights but there are occasional opportunities for this work. Anything above 40 hours a week or 12 hours a day is OT paid at 1.5 times pay rate. Pay is weekly via direct deposit.
