SUMMARY

Have you ever wanted the opportunity to learn a new trade or continue learning a trade you’re passionate about while getting paid? Are you eager to learn in a fast-paced environment? Do you have the ability to take initiative to continue to become a better person?

We are looking for someone to fill a general labor role that can also serve as a driver. Driving duties will encompass driving to/from job sites along with possibly delivering materials to various job sites in the Denver metro area. As a plumbing apprentice, you will help install, repair, and maintain pipes used for water and gas distribution and wastewater disposal at residences. You will be working with a licensed plumbing staff to learn your new trade at their side, assisting where needed and gaining valuable on-the-job and life skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Must be punctual and willing to work long hours including weekends a few times a year – Must be flexible – General labor duties include warehouse duties – Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs (concrete bags) – Ability to drive a manual transmission -** Above average to clean MVR** – Ability to drive/operate 1-ton pickup truck with dumping lift – Ability to drive/operate pickup truck with a trailer – Ability to drive other company vehicles (vans/trucks) when necessary – Willing to assist excavation crew, plumbers, and HVAC technicians at job sites when necessary – Willing to work weekends and late hours if necessary

APPRENTICE RESPONSIBILITIES: – Assist in installing and maintaining plumbing systems. – Determine water supply networks and waste drainage systems. – Install systems used to transport water, waste, gases, or liquids. – Ensure systems meet all standards of building codes and safety. – Select all materials needed for installation, including type and size of pipe. – Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment. – Assemble and install valves and fittings. – Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment. – Install other plumbing equipment, such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, appliances, and trim. – Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle – Test pipe systems and fix leaks.
